The process for painting a portait varies with each painting. I paint from a combination of sketches, photographs, and life. Landscape Gallery Here are some examples of my landscapes. I often paint landscapes as commissions. Often I paint scenes from vacation properties. I paint most landscapes from life, or at least based from an on site oil sketch. Floral Gallery I enjoy painting in the spring when all of the flowers are out, and the heat of summer is away. One of my fvorite spots is George Washington's River Farm. It has a wonderful collection of classic Virginia plantings. Still Life Gallery Sometimes I use the term still-life to catagorize any painting that is not a landscape, person or flower. Some or these are for sale in my galleries and some are available as prints in my "Prints" section. Prints Gallery All of these images and more are available as prints. You can order them in several sizes and printed on both paper and on canvas. When printed on canvas these pictures can be displayed without glass just as the original.
